Nana Agradaa Sentenced to 15 Years in Prison for Fraud and Charlatanic Practices

An Accra Circuit Court has handed a 15-year prison sentence to popular televangelist, Evangelist Patricia Asiedua, widely known as Nana Agradaa, after finding her guilty of charlatanic advertisement and defrauding by false pretence.

The judgment, delivered by Her Honour Evelyn Asamoah on Thursday, July 3, emphasized that the convict meticulously carried out the fraudulent acts and showed no signs of remorse throughout the proceedings.

Nana Agradaa, a self-styled spiritualist-turned-evangelist, was accused of luring members of the public with deceptive spiritual claims and promises of financial breakthroughs, leading to the loss of substantial sums of money by several victims.

The conviction marks a significant moment in efforts to clamp down on religious fraud and the exploitation of vulnerable individuals through false spiritual advertisements and unfulfilled promises.

Authorities have urged the public to remain vigilant and report similar deceptive schemes to help curb the growing trend of spiritual fraud in the country.
