SLTF Commences Admission Fee Disbursement for First-Year Tertiary Students Under 'No Fees Stress' Initiative

In a significant step toward improving access to higher education, the Students Loan Trust Fund (SLTF) has officially begun the disbursement of admission fees to first-year students enrolled in public tertiary institutions across the country.

This initiative forms part of the government's flagship 'No Fees Stress' policy, which seeks to eliminate financial barriers that often hinder brilliant but underprivileged students from beginning their academic journey.

The policy is designed to provide timely financial relief to newly admitted students by covering their admission-related costs directly through the SLTF.
According to officials, the disbursement process is being rolled out in phases, in collaboration with tertiary institutions, to ensure that eligible students receive support swiftly and transparently.

The SLTF has urged all first-year students in public universities, technical universities, and colleges of education who are in financial need to visit the official website or contact their respective institutions for guidance on how to benefit from the initiative.

With the rollout of this policy, the government hopes to foster a more inclusive academic environment and ensure that no student is left behind due to financial constraints.
